With the help of local individuals and business partners, fundraiser events, and matching funds from the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF), Suwannee Education Foundation (SEF) provides funding and support to fill opportunity gaps within Suwannee County Schools. SEF provides instructional resources, classroom equipment and technology, and professional development opportunities to teachers as well as college scholarships, tutoring services, college success workshops, and mentoring to students.

SEF manages the Mini-Grants for Teacher Program, Mini-Grants for Schools Program, and Ed Tech for Teachers Program. SEF also coordinates the Suwannee County Teacher of the Year Program and Take Stock in Children (TSIC) Scholarship Program.

SEF is the lead organization for Suwannee TSIC, a statewide mentoring organization for high-achieving students who are experiencing low-income circumstances. TSIC students are required to participate in mentor meetings and college success coaching throughout high school and are rewarded with a full-tuition scholarship upon graduation.
